Gimpel and Gumby to Papua New Guinea. That was our handles when we were younger, but it became 'going to png' We lived there for over 12 years and are back in the U.S. now adapting to live and viewing life through a much different lens. I rarely update my blog because I tend to be too long winded and I frankly don't know who wants to read this stuff anyway. I'm not sure if my thoughts help the world, but I'm putting it out there just in case it does.

Yo Yo
I brought a yo-yo with me because I was curious if it was something the kids in the bush had seen. One brave girl told me she saw a picture of one in a book once. This is Gloria, she was the first one to hop up and give it a try.
I was letting the kids try it out, and we were getting along great, until the string broke, and I had to stop letting them try it.
Later, as a thank you gift, I was given a bush yo-yo... aka, a STONE sling. That's NO YOYO, it's an authentic weapon. I found it ironic that the first time I ever showed the Jesus film, I also play acted as Goliath in the story of David vs Goliath,
and the last time (thus far) I've done it, I was given a sling.
