There is a place in Rabaul (here) where you can drive up to the ocean
and see it boiling. It is at the base of a volcano.
There is a project being proposed here in Rabaul that will allow them to
tap into the volcano, and pour water in, which will create STEAM, which
will power generators.
Using a volcano, to power an entire area with electricity! Now THAT is
interesting!
They do it in Kenya. Harnessing the natural steam venting from the
volcanoes. Here they are suggesting creating artificial steam vents!
