Here's news to me... the current leap in television technology.
Yes you 'read' about it 2 years ago... or well I didn't but someone did... but it's happening now.
This is more of a heads up for my missionary friends who don't know like I didn't.
3d TV is all the rage right now. (Avatar the movie was 3d and I suppose it hasn't stopped).
Streaming on demand TV is here... it's now...
You can buy a box that will go over the internet and get all the free and pay (netflix) tv as you demand it. So long as you're cool with not watching currently broadcasted shows you don't have to pay for cable.
So here's a hint:
-WITH a fast internet you can get your TV/Telephone/Email all online.
-cable costs $80 p/month... don't pay it
-telephone costs $25 p/month ... don't pay it
get a fast internet connection.
use skype paid version get a telephone number
use boxee/hulu.com (free) or netflix at $8.99 p/month
suddenly you have your phone, your flicks, your internet and it's costing a fraction of what cable alone would cost!
and because it's month to month, no contracts... means you can come and go as you please!
(skype works on some smart phones as well).
So basically, you can setup a travelling everything, all you need is your laptop.
The coolest part is that you'll be all cutting edge tech and be paying less than people who have lived here their whole lives!
It's pretty easy and cheap.
